In 1961 Art’s opened in Kansas City, Kansas serving hot food to the community. Art’s specialized in Mexican American cuisine, recreating the comforting dishes of Mexico while using ingredients that were readily available at the time.

As the neighborhood changed, Art’s evolved to focus on selling the tortillas and chips customers loved to restaurants across Kansas City. Part of the former restaurant space became a small market selling hundreds of pounds of fresh nixtamalized masa every day along with ingredients needed to create a Mexican meal at home.

Today Art’s Molino & Market sits in the same building along Kansas Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. You can find Art’s in stores throughout the country with the same quality ingredients families have trusted for more than sixty years. Art’s is a space where tradition is honored and we continue to serve the quality items our neighbors know and love.
